Supporting communities to conserve forest biodiversity and environment: A pilot initiative in Nawalpur

Building on the achievements made and lessons learnt from the previous experience, this project will carry out preparation activities around the area for the development of a conservation program along with some community support activities for meeting immediate conservation needs and alternative income options.

The specific objectives of this period are to: 

• Carry out a scoping study for designing a conservation project
• Support forest dependent communities to address immediate threats and challenges to biodiversity conservation
